In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University, Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, Thailand and also give information about educations and research activities. Then the academic talk will start with the recent progresses in the greatly effect of exogenous melatonin on maintaining quality and extending shelf life of postharvest fruits and vegetables such as delayed ripening, senescence, quality deterioration, enhanced disease resistance and chilling injury tolerance. Finally, discusses on the possible utilization of melatonin for improve the postharvest qualities.
