Electronic Engineer. MSc in Electrical Engineering (Bioengineering and Control). Master in Medical Imaging and PhD in Biomedical Engineering UT C, France. Post-doctorate in Microscopy Imaging. Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Colombian School of Engineering. Visiting Professor at the University of Salamanca. Researcher at the Schools of Biosciences of the Universities of Birmingham and Cardiff, UK. Full Professor in Image Processing and Machine Learning. University of Ibagué. President of the Colombian Association of Pattern Recognition.

Manuel Forero教授为电气工程硕士（生物工程与控制），在法国UT大学获得医学影像硕士，生物医学工程博士，显微镜成像博士后。曾经担任哥伦比亚国立大学和哥伦比亚工程学院教授。萨拉曼卡大学客座教授。英国伯明翰大学和卡迪夫大学生物科学学院研究员。现为伊巴盖大学图像处理和机器学习教授。哥伦比亚图像模式识别协会主席。
